School Starts Tomorrow!


The 2017-2018 school year begins tomorrow and our entire BCE staff has been hard at work to welcome back our BCE Bears and their families!


The first day of school is always an exciting and busy day.  Please help us keep everyone safe by following the directions of school staff directing traffic and activity on campus.  4th & 5th grade classes begin at 8:20 while TK – 3rd grade begins at 8:30.  Until the traffic pattern establishes itself, drop off and pick-up during the first week of school can take a bit longer than normal.  Please allow yourself a little extra time and always remember that everyone's safety is our primary concern.


I hope you can join me in the MP at 8:30 when our amazing BCE Parent Club hosts an informal Principal's Coffee.  You'll have the opportunity to meet others families and hear from me and our Parent Club president about some of the exciting things we have planned for our BCE students and families.


It's going to be another GREAT year at BCE!

This is an important message from the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District. Please read it carefully as this message contains critical information in regards to your student's registration/enrollment completion for school.  It is important for all families to complete their student's registration/enrollment using our online registration system, between Saturday, August 5th and Wednesday, August 23rd to ensure class placement prior to the first day of school, which is Monday, August 28th. PLEASE NOTE:  If you entered student information into the system prior to August 5th, it may be necessary for your student's information to be re-entered.

For returning students, the parent portal will reopen on Saturday, August 5th. You may access PowerSchool Registration through the parent portal URL at You will then complete your student's online registration by clicking on the PowerSchool Registration link. PLEASE NOTE that students are not considered enrolled until the online registration has been completed. ALL returning students MUST complete the annual update process each year.

For all new students, you must first meet with the school site Registrar. The school Registrar will enter a skeleton account for your student into our PowerSchool system and provide you with instructions to complete the registration process. SLV Middle School, SLV High School, and the SLV Charter School offices will be open on Monday, July 31st. Boulder Creek Elementary and SLV Elementary School offices will be open on Wednesday, August 9th.

For additional information and to obtain the pre-enrollment form for new students, please visit the District website at and do a search for registration. The section titled, Registration / Annual Update Process Information for 2017-2018, will provide additional information regarding other document requirements for new students, as well as the pdf pre-enrollment form, which is available in both English and Spanish formats.
