BCE Bearmail 2/10/17

February 10, 2017

Dear BCE Families,

THANK YOU! ~ I want to send a huge and heartfelt "thank you" to our BCE community.  It has been an intense week with lots of quickly changing conditions, as well as increased anxiety and stress for many.  Through it all you banded together to support our students and each other.  How lucky we all are to have such a caring and generous community!

No School ~ Just a reminder that there will be no school on Monday as we celebrate President Lincoln's birthday.

Talent Show ~ Since we missed the auditions on Tuesday, we will have a make-up on Tuesday 14, 3-4 pm in the MP room, for the upper graders.  Primary auditions were held last Monday.

Spiritwear ~ Did you miss out on a Spiritwear order the first time around?  Don't fret because we're offering the opportunity again. Order forms should have been taken home sometime last week. There are also order forms available in the office. All orders and payments are due no later than February 15.

Don't miss out on sweat pants, hoodies, hats and sweatshirts, fashionable and perfect for the cold weather. Also a great way to show your school spirit! Please be aware the sweatpants run a bit big but do shrink a little after washing. All sales are final. Thank you for supporting our school.

Walk-Jogathon T-shirts ~ Please return your size request form for your student's Walk-Jog t-shirt no later than Wednesday the 15th.

Parenting Classes ~ The Triple P parenting class series that was to begin on Tuesday had to be postponed.  The series will start next Tuesday the 14th.  Classes will take place from 6:00 - 8:00pm in the library at BCE.  If you are not able to make the first meeting there will be a make-up meeting at 5:00 pm prior to the meeting on the 21st, or you can call Cori Burt (335-6600 x6605) to make arrangements.  Please click here for more information about this powerful series of classes.  Advanced registration is preferred, but you can also register at the first class.

Ivy Cortez & Zahara Cook

Marcus Spracklen

Miles Hoogner

Helaina Fields-Rapley

Hunter Robertson

Sophia Hoogner

Damian Spracklen

We are so proud of all of you and thank you for representing BCE!

Valentine's Day ~ Tuesday is Valentine's Day.  Please remember that if your student brings Valentine cards for 1 student in the class, they need to bring cards for all the students in their class.  Valentine's Day is not a day for hurt feelings and hearts.

Pennies for Patients ~ BCE students are participating in the annual Pennies for Patients drive which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The drive will run from Feb. 6 - 24.  Each student will be bringing a collection box home this week and encouraged to fundraise for cancer patients.  Thank you for your support.
