BCE Bear Mail 3/21/2014

March 21, 2014

Dear BCE Families,

Astronomy Night  ~ I hope to see many of you tonight at the Astronomy Night sponsored by our wonderful Parent Club.  The fun starts at 6pm on the upper playground!

Bulb Sales ~ Our 5th grade class is having a fundraiser to help defray the cost of Science Camp.  Please visit the following web site and consider purchasing some beautiful flower bulbs.  Not only will your garden thank you, but the 5th graders will thank you as they participate in this much anticipated activity.  THANK YOU so very much for your continued support! http://www.flowerpowerfundraising.com/campaign?campaign_id=17989

We need your help! ~ On Wednesday the 26th our wonderful Parent Club has arranged to have new tan bark delivered to our upper playground.  We need your help in spreading the tan bark out after it arrives.  Please bring your shovels and rakes to the upper playground at 1:30 and join the fun!  **Date is subject to change due to weather conditions**

Sports Day ~ Next Tuesday the 25th some of our Little Leaguers are planning to wear their uniforms to school.  Let’s celebrate all our athletes and fans by having a Sports Day!  Any student that would like to can participate by wearing the favorite team clothes to school.

Recognition Assembly ~ I had the opportunity to pass out awards on Wednesday at one of our monthly assemblies.  It is always such a positive experience and reminds me of what amazing, caring, and hard working students we have here at BCE.  Thank you for supporting them in all the ways you do and thank your for being a role model for the BCE Way!

Low-Cost Internet and Computers ~ Comcast is offering affordable internet ($9.95 a month) and low cost computers ($149.99) to see if you qualify please visit InternetEssentials.com or call 1-855-846-8376.  Brochures with additional information are available in the office.

Trading Cards ~ Please remind your student that there are no “trading cards” at school.  This would include Pokeman and other cards that students collect and trade.

Lost and Found ~ Our Lost & Found area is overflowing with jacket, sweaters, lunch boxes, shirts, hats, sweatshirts, etc.  Please come by and take a look.  It would be a shame to have to replace items that are sitting here waiting to be claimed. BCE Bearmail 3/7/14

March 7, 2014

Dear BCE Families,

Update ~ Today there was a lot of activity down on Hwy 9 involving units from the fire and sheriffs departments.  As a precautionary measure, while we were gathering all the information from the sheriff, we had our students “Shelter in Place” or stay in their classroom until we knew all the facts and were confident that our campus was secure.

Fire Chief McClish has assured us that our campus and students were never in danger; however we will always err on the side of caution where our students are concerned.

Thank you for your support.

Lost and Found ~ Our Lost & Found area is overflowing with jacket, sweaters, lunch boxes, shirts, hats, sweatshirts, etc.  Please come by and take a look.  It would be a shame to have to replace items that are sitting here waiting to be claimed.
