Dear BCE Families,
BINGO ~ Please join me TONIGHT for Family BINGO Night! The fun begins at 6:30 in the MP and there is no charge to play Bingo. Additionally, there will be pizza and dessert available for purchase. Proceeds from these food items will support 5th Grade Science Camp. Thank you to our Parent Club for sponsoring this fun event.
Hot Off the Press! ~ Here is your next installment in a series of articles written especially for SLVUSD by our wonderful Mental Health Counselor, Jen Sims. Her articles address subjects that support the growth and well being of our students and all of us that support our BCE Bears. Board Briefing ~ We have a new communications resource for parents and staff. After each board meeting, we will put together a "Board Briefing" -- a quick way to share highlights of the meeting. Click here to read our first board briefing!
Hand Warmers ~ We have had several students bring disposable hand warmers to school. In addition to the distraction they have caused in a few classrooms, they are packaged in plastic pouches that can be easily ruptured, we are asking that these disposable hand warmers not be brought to school.
Absences ~ If your student will be absent from school due to illness, or indeed any other reason, please call the BCE Attendance Line at 338-2887. Please call every day until your student returns and let us know how their recovery is going.
Flu Season ~ We're in the middle of flu season, please remind your students to wash their hands with soap and water on a regular basis. Donations of tissues and anti-bacterial wipes are also always appreciated.
