Dear BCE Families,


Family Movie Night ~ I hope to see many of you tonight as our wonderful Parent Club sponsors this fun activity.  The fun starts in our MP at 6:30 pm.  Admission is free and there will be a bake sale to benefit our 5th Grade Science Camp adventure. 


Need Kindergarten? ~ Kindergarten registration for Fall 2014 has begun!  Visit the BCE office to pick up a registration packet and sign up for a spot to attend one of our three Kindergarten orientations and tours. Tours will take place at 9 am on March 18, April 24 and May 23.  Please call or stop by the office to reserve your spot.


Children must be five years old by August 31 in order to enroll in Kindergarten.  If your student has a September, October or November birthday you might be interested in our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program at the Ludlow Center in Felton.  TK Round-Up will take place on Friday April 18.  For more information you can call 335-4475.


Change in Office Hours ~ Starting next month our office hours will be changing.  The office will be open from 7:30 am – 4 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; from 7:30 am – 3 pm on Wednesdays and from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm on Fridays.


Up Coming Dates to Remember

  • Friday 2/21 = Movie Night sponsored by our Parent Club
  • Thursday 2/27 = Positive Parenting Program, Helping With Homework (6 pm – 8 pm)
  • Friday 2/28 – End of 2nd Trimester
  • Friday 3/7 = Report Cards sent home
  • Tuesday 3/11 = Family Dinner Night (Casa Nostra)
  • 3/31 – 4/3 = No School, Spring Break

Attendance Facts:

Good attendance is the first step in developing a strong work ethic that will serve your student well all through their life.  School is their job right now and when you support them in getting to school every day and on time, you are creating those good habits that will support them in successful careers.

Safety Tip of the Week:

Please remind your student to wear a helmet whenever they are riding a bicycle, skateboard, scooter, etc.  We want to protect those amazing brains of theirs!

BCE PARENTS CLUB EVENT & MEETING REMINDERS:


Last week's Science Fair was amazing!  The students did a great job of sharing their experiments and/or research.  It was fun to watch our student scientists be interview and their peers exploring from their exhibits.  Thanks to our Science Teacher Mrs. Lopez, Parent Coordinator Dusty Gipson and volunteers for making this annual educational event a success.


FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT - TONIGHT, February 21, 6:30, BCE MP Room

Please join us for a night of adventure with Swiss Family Robinson.  Admission is FREE along with popcorn.  Bake Sale proceeds will benefit the 5th Grade Science Camp.

2013-3014 BCE YEARBOOK: 

The Yearbook will be on sale from March 1 - April 30.  The price is $20, which is a 20% savings from last year!  There is a limited number of books, please do not wait until the last moment to order.  Order forms will be sent home through your class in approximately two weeks, please keep an eye out for them.  There will also be an option to order electronically through PayPal, more details to following regarding this payment option.
