BCE Bearmail 2/28/14

February 28, 2014

Dear BCE Families,

New Office Hours ~ Starting Monday our office hours will be changing.  The office will be open from 7:30 am – 4 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 7:30 am – 3 pm on Wednesdays and from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm on Fridays.

Talent Show ~ Thursday was our annual BCE Talent show and all I can say was WOW!  What a talented group of students we have here!  I was so impressed with their dedication and bravery.  I’ve already heard some of the kids planning their act for next year!

Parenting and Homework ~ I had the opportunity to attend the Positive Parenting Program’s (Triple P) class on homework last night.  It was a wonderful presentation with lots of good information.  I’d like to thank Mountain Community Resources for sponsoring this event.  Another free workshop on Encouraging Your Child’s Self-Esteem will be held on March 20 from 6 pm – 8 pm at SLE.

Need Kindergarten? ~ Kindergarten registration for Fall 2014 has begun!  Visit the BCE office to pick up a registration packet and sign up for a spot to attend one of our three Kindergarten orientations and tours. Tours will take place at 9am on March 18, April 24 and May 23.  Please call or stop by the office to reserve your spot.

Children must be five years old by August 31 in order to enroll in Kindergarten.  If your student has a September, October or November birthday you might be interested in our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program at the Ludlow Center in Felton.  TK Round-Up will take place on Friday April 18.  For more information you can call 335-4475.

Thank you for supporting your student by getting them to school every day and on time!

Safety Tip of the Week:

If your student is getting picked up by someone new or getting home in a different way than normal, please let the office know.
