BCE Bearmail 1/9/15

January 9, 2015

Dear BCE Families,

Happy New Year! ~ I hope you all had a wonderful Winter Break and were able to enjoy lots of quality time with those amazing students of yours.  2015 promises to be an exciting year full of growing, learning and a few surprises along the way!

BINGO ~ Please join me tonight for Family BINGO Night!  The fun begins at 6:30 in the MP and there is no charge to play Bingo.  Additionally, there will be pizza and dessert available for purchase.  Proceeds from these food items will support Science Camp.  Thank you to our Parent Club for sponsoring this fun event.

Science Fair ~ The BCE Science Fair will be held from February 4-6.  The Science Fair is open to all students K-5.  If your student is interested in participating and has not received an application, please have them ask their teacher for one.  This is a terrific event and ten students from BCE will be invited to attend the County Science Fair.

Spirit Wear ~ I am excited to announce that BCE spirit wear will soon be available!  You will soon receive an order form and more information about the t-shirts and sweatshirts that will be available.  While our Parent Club is organizing the sale, this is not a fundraising event.  This allows prices to remain low in the hopes that more families will be able to show their BCE pride.

Lost and Found ~ Please come by and check out the extensive Lost and Found pile.  Any items left at the end of the month will be collected and donated to a local charity.

Attendance Facts: As we gear up for flu season we are often asked how long after a fever is gone can you bring your child to school.  The answer is, a student must be fever free for 24 hours, without medication, before they should come back to school.

Thank you for supporting your student by getting them to school every day and on time!

Safety Tip of the Week: If you have any current legal documentation that defines custody, restricts visitation or in other ways impacts your student, please make sure that the office has a copy and that we receive updated copies as necessary.  Thank you for helping us keep your student safe.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
