BCE Bearmail 9/6/13

September 6, 2013

Dear BCE Families,

It's been another busy week here at BCE!

The students have been busy reading, writing, and enjoying our new math program.  It's wonderful to go into all the classrooms and see busy, engaged and happy students!

It was great seeing so many of you at the Parent Club meeting on Thursday.  How lucky our school is to have such dedicated, hard working and supportive families.  I'm looking forward to all the fun activities that are planned for BCE this year!

Don't forget, if you are interested in serving on the Site Council for the 2013-14 school year, please complete the attached application and return it to Margaret Zavaroni in our office no later than Friday September 13

Student Safety… We currently have many drivers with handicap placards trying to access the school grounds.  Unfortunately, we only have two handicap spaces close to the office, and two handicap spaces in the lower parking lot.  In order to keep our students safe, we are asking if your student is able bodied please consider letting them out of the car, or picking them up, at the intersection with the other students.  This will reduce the number of cars coming in and out of our small parking lot and help create a safer environment.

On an additional safety note, if your drive on to campus and leave your car to deliver or pick up your student, please do not leave your car running.

Thank you for your help in these matters!

School Picture Day is scheduled for next Thursday September 12.  All students will have their pictures taken.  If you choose to purchase a photo package you can pay with cash or check and place the payment in the completed envelope that came home with your student or you can pay by credit card before picture day @ www.mylifetouch.com.  If you choose this option don't forget to return the completed envelope complete with payment code to your student's teacher.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.  Get lots of rest and get ready for our first five day week!
