Fwd: BCE Bearmail 9/20/13

September 20, 2013

Dear BCE Families,

What a wonderful Back to School Night!  Thank you for coming out and supporting your students.  The connection and communication that happens between home and school is so important to your student's success.  The teachers spent many hours putting together their presentations and materials for you and I know they appreciated seeing you here on Thursday. We are looking forward to continuing our important work together and as a school community supporting the great students of BCE.  THANK YOU!

Just a reminder - if you are dropping off or picking up your student by car, please follow the directions of our staff members that are directing traffic.  They are there to protect the students. Unfortunately we've had too many close calls lately involving cars that are ignoring the safety procedures we have in place to try and protect the children.

Does your child need insurance?  A United Way Health Care Outreach Worker can offer you free assistance in filling out an application for children's health care insurance plans.  For more information, please visit the Community Opportunities website at https://sites.google.com/a/slvusd.org/community-link/ - look under the Parent Resources tab, the flyer is titled:  Health Insurance Flyer.

Please be aware that ALL District sites are considered CLOSED between Sunset and Sunrise.  Unauthorized personnel are NOT permitted on District school sites between Sunset and Sunrise.   This will be enforced by District Security as well as the local Sheriff's Department.

Please share this information with all of the members in your household.  This is to ensure the security of our facilities and the safety of our staff and students.  Thank you for your assistance.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
