BCE Bearmail 2/13/15

February 13, 2015

Dear BCE Families,

Happy Valentine's Day!

Three day weekend ~ Just a reminder that this is the last of our three day weekends for a while.  There will be no school Monday as we celebrate Presidents Day.

Cell Phones ~ Just a reminder that if your student carries a cell phone on campus we need to have a permission slip signed by you on file in the office.  Additionally, cell phones need to be turned off during school hours and kept in backpacks.

Flower Power ~ Thank you for supporting BCE and our 5th grade students as they prepare for Science Camp.  You can purchase bulbs through this online fundraiser by going to:

Orders are due by February 17th.

The SLVHS Music Workshop  ~ class will be performing at the Trout Farm on 2/22. Music will start around 5pm and the wonderful folks at the Trout Farm are donating 10% of the evening's profits to SLV!  Invite your friends and family for a night of good food and music for a great cause!

Yay BCE!  We brought our attendance up by over a quarter of 1 percent last month.  It may seem like a small increase, but any increase we see in attendance equals an increase in student success.

Thank you for supporting your student by getting them to school every day and on time!

Safety Tip of the Week:

Keep the computer in a common area, not in individual bedrooms, where you can watch and monitor its use.

Wishing you all a wonderful three-day weekend!

The BCE Way:  BE RESPECTFUL, BE SAFE, BE RESPONSIBLE

BCE PARENT CLUB EVENT & MEETING REMINDERS:

Family Movie Night – As you wish!  The Family Movie Night is back!  You and your family are invited to spend an enchanting evening on Friday, February 20th at BCE.  The Princess Bride will be showing and popcorn will be flowing.  As always, this is a free event!

Staff Appreciation Week – Staff Appreciation Week is March 2nd – 6th.  We have such an amazing staff at BCE and we would like them to know how much we appreciate them.  We would like to have at least one parent from each class be a representative for this event.  Please email bcepc.execs@gmail.com as soon as you can, and let us know that you would like to be that parent.  It's a small job, but it has a huge impact.
