Dear BCE Families,

Spring Break ~ Just a reminder that next week and the following Monday are Spring Break and there will be no school.  We'll see you back here on Tuesday April 7th.

Bear Wear ~ If you missed the opportunity to purchase BCE Spirit Wear or would like to order additional pieces, our wonderful Parent Club is offering you an opportunity to pick up that t-shirt or sweat shirt!  All orders and payment must be received by Thursday April 9th.  Order forms are available in the office and you can return the order form and payment to your student's teacher.  Also, take two minutes to write names in sweatshirts – there are a lot of unclaimed blue sweatshirts lying around already!

Assembly ~ On April 14th our Parent Club is sponsoring an assembly put on by a local author,  Karen Gedig Burnett.  Among the many books Ms.Gedig Burnett has written is Simon's HookSimon's Hook is the story of boy who is teased.  His grandma compares teasing to fishing and teaches Simon how not to get caught or bite at the teases.  Simon's Hook has been used as a tool in many schools as part of their character education plan.

Books will be available for purchase and M. Geding Burnett will have some time to sign them for students who wish to purchase them.  Please look for more information to come home after Spring Break.

Attendance Facts:

School attendance is a baseline factor in determining student success.  Are you supporting your student's academic success?  If you are struggling with this issue, please let us know, we'd love to be able to work with you to solve this important issue.

Thank you for supporting your student by getting them to school every day and on time!

Safety Tip of the Week:

Hybrid cars are often very quiet and can be hard to hear when they are moving.  Please reinforce how important it is for your students to keep their eyes open and alert for moving vehicles.

Wishing you all a wonderful Spring Break!

The BCE Way:  BE RESPECTFUL, BE SAFE, BE RESPONSIBLE

BCE PARENT CLUB EVENT & MEETING REMINDERS:

Spirit wear We are doing a second round of ordering!  Money and order forms are due April 9th.  The company that we ordered our spirit wear from is offering a second printing without fees.  Therefore, we are offering a second run of orders.  You can pick up an order form from the office and return your money to the office or your child's teacher.  You know the t-shirts and sweatshirts look awesome, so don't miss out!!

Parents Club Meeting – Join us Thursday, April 9th at 6:30 in the library for our meeting.  As always, free childcare is provided.

BCE Carnival – Our annual carnival and silent auction is on Saturday, May 16th from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.  This is the event that every BCE student looks forward to the whole year!  The extravaganza includes a huge variety of festivities for all to enjoy.  All parents are needed to make this a special experience for their child so we need you to commit to helping out with this event.  Please sign up for an event outside your teacher's door or email Tammy Schultz @ bcepc.execs@gmail.com.  Thank you all for your support with this important fundraiser.

Officers & Committee Chairs Needed – Many hands make light work!  We need your hands.  In order for us to provide the many programs, benefits, and, events to our BCE community that we do - we need wo/manpower.  We will definitely need 2 treasurers, a co-secretary, and a co-vice president for next year, but all positions will be up for election in May.  If there is an event or program that you and your family really enjoy, please consider being a committee chair.  All past information for any program you consider will be available to you to help you in your venture as well as a team of committed parents to back you up.

Yearbook - The yearbook is now on sale for $20.  Look for the form that went home this week. The deadline to order is April 30th, but you won't want to wait, as they tend to sell out quickly.  It's not too late to share your photos with our yearbook staff. Email them to bouldercreekyearbook@gmail.com.  Please include the name of the event in your email.  Thanks a ton!!
