Attendance Facts:

Children who miss 20 or more days of school in kindergarten through grade three do poorly in school, and are at risk of having future problems with truancy, delinquency, substance abuse, and dropping out of school.

Thank you for supporting your student by getting them to school every day and on time!

Safety Tip of the Week:

Sometimes as our students get older they begin to forget basic safety rules.  The next time you're out walking with your student please check that they are continuing to look both ways when they cross the street, and are aware of moving vehicles in parking lots.  We spend a lot of time teaching our children these basic safety rules when they are toddlers; we want to make sure they are still practicing these safety rules.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

The BCE Way:  BE RESPECTFUL, BE SAFE, BE RESPONSIBLE

BCE PARENT CLUB EVENT & MEETING REMINDERS:

Yearbook – Don't miss out on a yearbook this year!  They are now on sale for $20. The deadline to order is April 30th.  It's not too late to share your photos with our yearbook staff.  Email them to bouldercreekyearbook@gmail.com.  Please include the name of the event in your email.  Thanks a ton!!

Open House BBQ – The traditional Open House BBQ (May 7th) is in danger of not happening this year.  We desperately need volunteers to put this together.  We are especially hoping to have 4th grade parents.  The profits from this event will go towards the current 4th graders' science camp adventure in 5th grade.  Every 4th grade family will directly benefit from a reduced tuition to the camp.  We will decide by April 17th if we have enough volunteers to make this happen.  Please email bcepc.execs@gmail.com to volunteer with cooking, tending the register, set up and take down.

BCE Carnival –This year's highly anticipated event is on Saturday, May 16th from 10:30am to 3:30pm.  We will need all parents on deck!  There will be sign-ups outside your teacher's door.  We are also looking for fun but firm parents who are willing to man the special jump houses, obstacle courses, and slide so that all participants are enjoying a good old fashion fun/safe time.  If you are one of those parents, please volunteer by emailing bcepc.execs@gmail.com.

Officers & Committee Chairs Needed – Are you good at balancing a budget or do you know someone who is?  We need 2 treasurers next year.   We also need a co-vice president.  Many hands make light work!  We need your hands.  In order for us to provide the many programs, benefits, and, events to our BCE community that we do - we need wo/manpower.  We will definitely need 2 treasurers, a co-secretary, and a co-vice president for next year, but all positions will be up for election in May.  If there is an event or program that you and your family really enjoy, please consider being a committee chair.  All past information for any program you consider will be available to you to help you in your venture as well as a team of committed parents to back you up.

Family Dinner Night – Join us on Wednesday, April 22nd for an epic night of pizza deliciousness and trivia fun at the Boulder Creek Pizza & Pub.  Proceeds will benefit the first grades, and good times will benefit everyone!

Campus Beautification Day – Sunday, April 26th is the special day that BCE parents come together to bond over beautifying our school.  Please save the date!
