BCE Bearmail 5/29/15

May 29, 2015

Dear BCE Families,

Family Surveys ~ Please complete our family survey.  The information we get from them is very important and allows us to refine what we do to better support our students and their families.  Hard copies are available in the office and there is a link to the survey on the BCE website as well.

Thank You!

Robin Hood ~ Bravo to our 5th grade class for working so hard on their production.  The singing was awesome and their hard work was evident throughout the production.  Many thank to Mr. Carson, Ms. Thomsen and Ms. Foxworthy for supporting our young thespians!

Kindergarten Performance ~ Our kindergartners also put on a wonderful show last week.  If you ever want to smile until your cheeks hurt and wipe a few tears of pure joy away from your eyes, be sure to catch the next year's performance!

4th & 5th grade Music ~ Not to be outdone, our 4th and 5th graders delighted and amazed their audience as they entertained us this week with ukuleles, various percussion instruments, and their own lovely voices.  A special thank you to Carey Liston, our wonderful music teacher, for putting together our Spring Music Concert.

Lost & Found ~ The lost and found pile continues to grow!  Please come by and take a look to see if anything belongs to your student.  Any items left after the last day of school will be donated to charity.

End of year ~ As the end of the year approaches we can feel the summer energy increase.  Please help your student make the most of these last days of school by keeping to a routine as much as possible and reminding them how important their job as a student is.

Library ~ The BCE library is closed for the school year.  Please return any library books your student still may have. Payment for lost or damaged books can be made in the office.  Thank you!

BCE "BEST OFFER" SILENT AUCTION

Did you miss out on the Carnival Silent Auction?  Was your bid not the winning one?  You are in luck.  There are still auction items available for bidding.  We will be hosting a "blind" auction from Friday, May 29 to Friday, June 5, 3:30 PM.  There are two ways to participate using the attached form:

  1. Submit your "Best Offer Bid" in the column to the right of item.  Note, the amount must be at the starting bid or higher.  The bid must be placed on the form with complete contact information.  The form may be returned to your child's teacher, in the BCE Office, or by emailing to bcepc.execs@gmail.com.  The form must be received by the time the office closes.  Winners will be noticed Sunday, June 7, by email.  If there is a tie for the highest bid, the names will be drawn to determine the winner of the item.

  2. 2)  Submit "Buy Out Right" for the item's discounted price.  If this option is used, the item will be removed immediately from the auction.   The bid must be place by email to bcepc.execs@gmail.com in order to time the placement of the bid.

All items must be paid for by Friday, June 12.  Any questions, please contact Nicole at bcepc.execs@gmail.com or 831-331-3431.

Carnival Follow Up:  This week your student should be bringing home a survey for some feedback on our 2015 Carnival 2 weeks ago.  Please take a few moments to fill this out so that we can improve your family's experience next year.  Return to your student's teacher or the front office.  Thank you!
