June 5, 2015

Dear BCE Families,

Family Surveys ~ Today is the final day to complete our Family Survey.  If you have not done so, please click on the following link to provide input.  The information we get from them is very important and allows us to refine what we do to better support our students and their families.  Use the following link to complete the survey online; additionally we have hard copies available in the office.  THANK YOU!

Wednesday ~ Just a reminder that next Wednesday will NOT be an Early Out day.  We will have a regular full day schedule on Wednesday, June 10th

Thursday ~ Thursday will be the last student day for the 2014-15 school year.  Students in grades 1-5 will be dismissed at 12:15 pm.  Kindergartners will be dismissed at their regular time of 11:50 am.  Please note that there will be no kindergarten bus; kindergarten students may ride the regular school buses.

Info Snap ~ InfoSnap is ready to go live for our returning students!  An Infosnap notification will be emailed/mailed to every family today.  Please follow the instructions to ensure your child is signed up to return to school in the fall.  You can also use the link on our school website, www.bce.slvusd.org.  Please be patient with the Infosnap process - if you have any questions or issues please contact Gail Heagerty at 335-4425, ext. 117.

Lost & Found ~ The lost and found pile continues to grow!  Please come by and take a look to see if anything belongs to your student.  Any items left after the last day of school will be donated to charity.

Library ~ The BCE library is closed for the school year.  Please return any library books your student still may have. Payment for lost or damaged books can be made in the office.  Thank you!

Science Camp ~ Our 5th graders have returned from their time at Science Camp!  It's great to have them back, but I know they had a wonderful time and learned a lot.  I made my way up to Camp Campbell on Thursday morning before breakfast and was happy to see so many cheerful, smiling faces.  This has been an experience they'll remember forever!  Thank you for supporting them both financially and emotionally and a special THANK YOU to our 5th grade teachers, Mr. Carson, Ms. Foxworthy, and Mrs. Thomsen, for going above and beyond to provide this wonderful opportunity to our 5th graders.

BCE "BEST OFFER" SILENT AUCTION - Extended to Monday, June 8, 3:30PM

Did you miss out on the Carnival Silent Auction?  Was your bid not the winning one?
You are in luck.  There are still auction items available for bidding.  We will be hosting a "blind" auction from Friday, May 29 to Monday, June 8, 3:30 PM.  There are two ways to participate:

  1. Submit your "Best Offer Bid" in the column to the right of item.  Note, the amount must be at the starting bid or higher.  The bid must be placed on the form with complete contact information.  The form may be returned to your child's teacher, in the BCE Office, or by emailing to bcepc.execs@gmail.com.  The form must be received by the time the office closes.  Winners will be noticed Monday, June 8, by email.  If there is a tie for the highest bid, the names will be drawn to determine the winner of the item.

  2. Submit "Buy Out Right" for the item's discounted price.  If this option is used, the item will be removed immediately from the auction.   The bid must be place by email to bcepc.execs@gmail.com in order to time the placement of the bid.

All items must be paid for by Friday, June 12.  Any questions, please contact Nicole at bcepc.execs@gmail.com or 831-331-3431.
