Dear BCE Families,
Reminder ~ Please remember that the last day of school next week will be Thursday. The first day of Winter Break is Friday December 23rd.
Stormy Weather ~ We made it through this past batch of rough weather and know more will be on the way soon. Please make sure we have current contact information for you as well as a complete list of emergency contacts. With the possibility of road closures please consider having an emergency contact on both the north and south side of BCE. While your students will be safe here at school, we know they'll be more comfortable with a friend or family member. Additionally, please check that your voicemail box is not full and
Science Fair ~ The deadline for turning in BCE science fair applications has been extended to Thursday, December 22. Please place your completed applications in the blue science fair box located in the school office. Extra application forms can also be found in the school office. Thank you.
Lost & Found ~ Please come and look through our lost and found clothing. There are hundreds of dollars worth of student sweatshirts, sweaters, jackets, etc. just waiting to go back home with their owner. This would be a great time of year to save some money and retrieve some of your student's outerwear so you don't have to spend money purchasing anything new. Thank you!
Help Needed ~ We need help getting lice out of our classrooms! If you would like to volunteer to be part of our lice buster team, please contact our school district nurse, Sarah Dahlen at 831-335-4452 Ext. 236. Thanks for your support!
Canned Food Drive ~ The Valley Christmas Project Canned Food Drive continues through Tuesday the 20th. Please send in your non-perishable donations to help support families in our community. This is a great opportunity for our children to discover the good feeling we receive when we do good things for others.

Did you know???
Students who attend school regularly are more likely to graduate and find good jobs. In fact, a high school graduate makes, on average, a million dollars more than a dropout over a lifetime.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

The Flyer Process for San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District is posted on the "home" page of the District website at www.slvusd.org. The flyers and/or blurbs are no longer inserted into the school newsletters or distributed to the children. The District is making an effort to reduce the amount of paper that is sent home with your child(ren) and is working together to streamline the newsletter so that you read about the most important information regarding your child's school. The District has created a website where all of the approved flyers will be posted (Community Opportunity).
