THANK YOU!! ~ A big thank you to our local Girl Scout Troop for participating in the Stuff the Bus campaign.  BCE received a large donation of much needed school supplies. Thank you so much for your time and effort in supporting our students!

A big thank you also to our Boulder Creek Community Church who showed up with a huge delivery of classroom supplies!  We have a wonderful community who constantly show their support in so many different ways.

Our BCE Parent Club has provided us with additional sun umbrellas.  This extra shade makes such a difference for our students during these warm days.  Thanks for keeping it cool Parent Club!

Fundraisers ~ There are 2 fundraisers I want to make sure you're aware of.  This weekend is the Santa Cruz Mountain Art & Wine Festival.  The festival is on Saturday and Sunday at Garrahan Park on Hwy. 9.  A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to BCE to support our Art Masterpiece program.

The San Lorenzo Valley Foundation for Education is sponsoring a benefit for our San Lorenzo Valley schools.  Music on the Mountain will take place on Sunday September 13th at the SLV Performing Arts Center.  For more information and tickets visit slvfoundation.org or call 831-234-0236

Parent Club ~ Our September Parent Club Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 17th in the MP room at 6:30 pm.  All BCE parents and guardians are automatic members.  Free babysitting will be provided.

Site Council ~ If you are interested in serving on the Site Council for the 2015-16 school year, please complete the attached application and return it to Margaret Zavaroni in our office no later than Friday September 11th.  Our Site Council provides a very important function for our school.  The BCE Site Council is charged with helping to develop, recommend, and annually review the Single Site Plan for Student Achievement.  Additionally, the Site Council meets to provide ongoing informational and educational process directed towards parents and other interested persons about current school programs.  Thank you for your consideration on joining this special group.

Did you know???

Reading relaxes the body and calms the mind. This is an important point because these days we seem to have forgotten how to relax and especially how to be silent.

Have a great three-day weekend!
