Dear BCE Families,

Spring Break ~ No April Fool, Spring Break is next week!  BCE will be closed Monday April 4^th through Friday April 8^th.  Students will return to classes on Monday April 11^th.  Have a wonderful break with your wonderful students!

Thank you ~ A belated thank you to Carrie Fernandez for co-chairing last week's successful Walk-jogathon.  We wouldn't be the amazing school we are without such amazing family support.  Thank you all so very much!

Amazon ~ Our Parent Club participates in the Amazon Smile program.  Signing up is easy!  All you need to do is go to smile.amazon.com or click on the Amazon Smile button on our Parent Club home page (https://sites.google.com/site/bceparentsclub/).  After you sign up all you need to do is go to the smile.amazon.com page and shop as usual.  A percentage of every purchase made through Smile Amazon will be donated to BCE.  For more information please check out our Parent Club home page or visit smile.amazon.com

Need Kindergarten? ~ Kindergarten registration for Fall 2016 has begun!  Visit the BCE office to pick up a registration packet and sign up for a spot to attend one of our two Kindergarten orientations and tours. Tours will take place at 9am on April 14^th, and May 27^th.  Please call or stop by the office to reserve your spot.

Children must be five years old by August 31^st in order to enroll in Kindergarten.  If your student has a September, October or November birthday you might be interested in our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program at the Ludlow Center in Felton.  For more information you can call 335-4475.

BCE PARENT CLUB EVENT & MEETING REMINDERS:

 

YEARBOOK - The yearbook is now on sale for $20.  The form is coming out after Spring Break.  The deadline to order is April 30^th.  Questions contact bcepc.execs@gmail.com .

 

Walk/Jog-a-thon – Although the deadline was March 31^st, we will continue to honor your pledges.  Please turn in your pledge money as soon as you can.  Thank you, BCE Parents, for supporting this important fundraiser.

 

BCE Parents Club Positions for the 2016 – 2017 school year – Now is a good time to start thinking about applying for Parents Club board and committee positions.  We will need officers and volunteers to run fun family events.  In the next couple of weeks, be on the look out for details to come home with your child.

 

Carnival – Yeah!  The much-anticipated BCE Carnival is coming soon. Save the date for Saturday, May 14^th.  The festivities will begin at 10:30 am and last until 3:30 pm.  As always, this will be an event to remember!  Of course, we will need all of you to help to carry on this epic tradition.  Please plan to volunteer for an hour or more, donate an item for your classroom's silent auction basket, and/or participate in the magical events planned for the day.  On the day of the event, you will enjoy inflatables, midway games, silent auction bidding, BBQ and snack food, face painting, a dunk tank, socializing with the community and much, much more.
