BCE Bearmail 5/30/14

May 30, 2014

Dear BCE Families,

The Emperor's New Clothes ~ Bravo to Ms. Foxworthy's and Ms. Egbert's class for working so hard on their production.  The singing and dancing was awesome and their hard work was evident throughout the production.

Kindergarten Performance ~ Our kindergartners also put on a wonderful show this week.  If you ever want to smile until your cheeks hurt and wipe away a few tears of pure joy, be sure to catch the next year's performance!

4th & 5th grade Music ~ Not to be outdone, our 4th and 5th graders delighted and amazed their audience as they entertained us this week with ukuleles, various percussion instruments, and their own lovely voices.  A special thank you to Carey Liston, our wonderful music teacher, for putting together our Spring Music Concert.

Math Contest Correction  ~ In last week's Bearmail we misspelled one of our winner's names - apologies to Cadie Peters!

Lost & Found ~ The lost and found pile continues to grow!  Please come by and take a look to see if anything belongs to your student.  Any items left after the last day of school will be donated to charity.

End of year ~ As the end of the year approaches we can feel the summer energy increase.  Please help your student make the most of these last days of school by keeping to a routine as much as possible and reminding them how important their job as a student is.

Library ~ The BCE library is closed for the school year.  Please return any library books your student may still have. Payment for lost or damaged books can be made in the office.  Thank you!

Attendance Facts:

Students miss important instructional time when they are checked out early from school.  Please schedule appointments for your students after school hours whenever possible.  Your student will know you support their important job when you make every effort to have them in class for their entire school day.

Thank you for supporting your student by getting them to school every day and on time!

Safety Tip of the Week:

With the promise of an active fire season this summer, please take this opportunity to discuss a safe meeting place for you family and any other emergency plans that may be appropriate for their grade level.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
