Special BCE Bearmail 3/7/17

March 7, 2017

Dear BCE Families,

Our Internet Is Back up! ~ Thank you for your patience and understanding with our technical difficulties.  Our director of IT, Jeff Kitts, worked above and beyond to get the system back online for all the SLVUSD community.

Family Dinner Night TONIGHT ~ Casa Nostra in Ben Lomond is hosting our Family Dinner Night!  Today from 11:00 am to 9 pm, 15% of all sales will go to support the BCE music program.  Thank you for your support!

Need Kindergarten? ~ Kindergarten registration for Fall 2017 will open on March 15.  Visit the BCE office to pick up a registration packet and sign up for a spot to attend one of our three Kindergarten orientations and tours.  Tours will take place at 9 am on March 16, April 18 and May 10.  To begin the registration process, please plan on bringing your child's Birth Certificate, Immunization Record and Proof of Residency.

Children must be five years old by September 1 in order to enroll in Kindergarten.  If your student has a September, October or November birthday you might be interested in our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program.  For more information please call the BCE office at 831-338-6413.

We're looking forward to your student joining our BCE learning community!

Family Movie Night ~ I hope you can join us for BCE Family Movie Night Friday, March 10. Doors to the MP will open at 6 pm and the movie (Finding Dory) will begin at 6:30 pm.  There is no cost for the movie and there will be baked goods available to purchase for the 5th grade Science Camp fund.

And don't forget…

Thursday ~ at 6:30 pm please join us in the BCE library for the BCE Parent Club meeting.

Report Cards will be coming home on Friday.

The Flyer Process for San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District is posted on the "home" page of the District website at www.slvusd.org.   The flyers and/or blurbs are no longer inserted into the school newsletters or distributed to the children.  The District is making an effort to reduce the amount of paper that is sent home with your child(ren) and is working together to streamline the newsletter so that you read about the most important information regarding your child's school.  The District has created a website where all of the approved flyers will be posted (Community Opportunity).
